The Stable Hands horse sponsorship program gives you the opportunity to support Stable hands in a very unique way. Our horses are the silent stars of the program. When you choose to sponsor a horse, your generosity will directly contribute to the care and happiness of that special horse.

We Need Your Support

Every Horse Sponsorship comes with a Photo & information about the Stable Hands horse you select when you apply for sponsorship. Also included is a certificate with your horses name, dates of sponsorship and the undying gratitude of the Stable Hands team; horses & humans!

Pandaris

Pandaris is a 16 year old Belgian Draft Cross gelding who joined the program in 2015. He is a gentle giant at 16 Hands. Pandaris is patient and his calm demeanor is soothing to riders. He is owned by Craig Coggins and leased to Stable Hands. Thank you Craig!

Little Horse

This guy is not so little and is about 15.3 hands tall. He is a Paint Gelding who was donated to Stable Hands by Kathy Stear's family in 2017. Little Horse is well trained in natural horsemanship and is respectful and kind to our participants.

Shaddai

Shaddai was donated to Stable Hands by the family of Kathy Stear in 2017. He is a big beautiful paint who works well with a wide range of participants.

Banjo

Stable Hands welcomed Banjo to the Stable Hands program in 2021. Our newest herd member, this sorrel Gelding is 19 years old and is a perfect 14.2 Hands. Banjo is a nice easy going horse that is already very loved by our staff & participants.

Keirah - Sponsored

This beautiful mare is 15.3 and Chocolate in color. She is a true gaited horse with a sweet & kind nature making her a wonderful asset to the program. Keirah was donated to Stable hands in Summer of 2021 by the Rebecca Richman Trust.

Gus

Gus joined the Stable Hands Program in 2020. This Quarter Horse Gelding is a Gruella and stands around 15 hands tall. He loves the herd and is learning how to partner with our participants. Gus was donated by his owner Larry Arkfeld.

Missy

A 22 year old Sorrel Appaloosa Mare who joined Stable Hands in 2013. She is 15 Hands and engages with riders in all activities with a sweet, gentle and tolerant disposition. Missy has helped beginning riders gain independent riding skills, as well as helping independent riders advance.

Toby

Toby is a Halflinger Gelding from Kidder Creek Camp and stands around 14 Hands. He is calm and sure footed making him a favorite for our sidewalking volunteers.

What sponsorship is Not...

Horse Sponsorship is only meant to support the cost of caring for the needs of our Stable Hands herd members only. It does not include ownership of the horse. For the safety of clients and the horses, sponsorship does not allow the sponsor to handle or visit the animal unless it is arranged and supervised by written consent of the Program Manager according to sponsorship requirements.

Our Wishlist

There are various ongoing needs to care for the Stable Hands program. Monetary donations help to secure feed and supplements, farrier & veterinary care for our herd, while other supplies such as pest controls, tack, grooming and other horse related items can be donated.

The Facility on Oak Valley Drive is continually being improved for the Stable Hands Program. Every donation made in this area affects the optimum experience for our horses, riders, volunteers & staff. We truly appreciate every kind of help including volunteering of services and time. HAY - Stable Hands Purchases hay from a reputable supplier to ensure the health of the horses in our care. Currently the hay costs $18/bale

VETERINARY COSTS - Vet calls, Medications and emergency visits add to the cost of operating the Stable Hands program. It typically costs $60 for a Veterinarian to visit the ranch. To sponsor the cost of a vet call click the button.

FARRIER - Horses at Stable Hands also need stable feet! Regular trimming and shoeing of hooves are a needed service to keep the horses healthy and fit for therapeutic horsemanship. Horse trims cost about $50/horse. To make a monetary donation to sponsor click the button
